Description

The Littlemill distillery was a Scottish malt whiskey distillery in Bowling, western Dunbartonshire. Located on the border between Lowlands and Highlands, its products were generally classified as plain whiskey. The year in which the whiskey was first produced is uncertain. Littlemill was described as part of the purchase of Auchentorlie Estate in 1750. Houses for excise agents were built in 1772, which is also the year Littlemill claimed its founding year, from which it claimed to be the most ancient distillery of Scotland. A 25-year-old whiskey from the Littlemill distillery, bottled by Douglas Laing's "Director's Cut" series.
Distilled in 1988 and bottled in June 2014 - one of only 225 products in total.
